What kind of deal is that?

You need to post a price range of what you are willing to pay the artist. And how do we know you will be truthful? The artist could do an outstanding job, but you could say "Not bad, I will pay you half of what my maximum offer was." you just can't do business like that, and I doubt you could hire a really talented artist under these conditions.

I know that, but to say your going to offer money based off how well they do in their own opinion is just never a good idea. Either offer money and say how much your willing to pay or don't offer money at all.
