This weekend i'm going to start working on the website layout for a new GPT site. I am kind of new to websites and designing so Im not going to have the coolest thing in the world at first. I have two options for this.
I could outsource the design work for someone else to create for me. Code and design for a cheap version is $200+ and $20 a month hosting. This way is limited and I cannot change the layout very much. The good thing about this way is that I would be making some income so I could put that money towards a better design / website. I could create the code/designs myself and update it to my own likings. The bad part about this is that it would take 6 months+ and I would have to learn everything myself. I would however get to learn php/html. |

Brent,
Come up with a general idea on how you want your site to look like. You can post it here and if we think it can be built off Wordpress, we'll tell you which template would best fit your design. For the hosting, try to win the TBF contest that's running right now. If you can refer enough people to join TBF, one of the prizes you can get is free hosting for 6 months on Bluehost. Also, you could get a decent design but not implementation through 99designs.com. What I would recommend is that you pay someone there to create you a mockup in Photoshop of your design and then outsource the coding using Elance.com. You would outsource parsing the mockup into a Wordpress template as well as the installation. Though it might cost you a bit more than $200. Best option might be to barter with someone here for your design. You could offer something in return after your site is up- like free ad, etc. |

Downlaod BlueVoda, its a easy drag and drop website builder. But, make your template, grpahics, logo, banners in a different programme such as Photoshop. Then just insert them into the website builder. This way it will look much more proffesional but a very easy way to make.
In the website builder there are things like forms, chat, and PayPal codes. |
