@Eli Ok, not sure how you make a pitch without sound :P. I believe the phrase elevator pitch comes from the idea of being able to get into an elevator and have pitched your idea by the time you step out the elevator.

I'm filming myself, it's not really a commercial. Ever seen Dragons Den? You have to pitch your idea to everyone.

It's just 30 seconds of yourself talking about your business. What it is, how it makes money, etc.

You don't have to have a splash page up. It's just a way to tell others about your idea.
