This Month's Contest

Ok, let's have another TBF contest. We talked last month on possibly doing a contest to see who you can interview. So how about it? Let's see who can do the BEST interview. The criteria will be based on who you get as well as the questions you ask.

I will provide a potential list of entrepreneurs you can interview. This will help with the cold calling issue. You will learn LOTS from doing this. And this time, you, instead of me get to ask the question. Ask them whatever you want.

Who's in?

Prizes have not been determined yet. What would you guys want? How about a first ever TBF award? Maybe something like TBF Entrepreneur of the Month, sort of like Student Of The Month except much cooler.

Or how about a free business book that JUST hit the shelves?

Or how about I interview the winner that gets posted to the front page of the blog?

You can if you want to. I'll come up with some guidelines. But if would be easier to interview people that are in my network. And the deal is that for this contest, you have to do the interview for TBF, sort of as a correspondent.

A good prise could be to make a small banner that says the TBF winner of the month along with a website or business that the winner owns/runs. This banner could be in a spot on the site where most people would see it. Since they are the winner of the month it could stay on the site for that month. Also I fell that they should get an award but that the banner would help them promote there business or themselves.

Sure, that's a good idea. Where would you like to see that? On the homepage, forum? Maybe a leaderboard banner at the very top of both.

best interview? im IN.but how does it go? do we all interview the same person with different q's or do we choose from your recommendations? it's on behalf of the forum?-so we do the interview then submit it? are there specific topics?

It'll be different interviews with different people. I'm coming up with the rules now. I'll have a list of entrepreneurs you can interview or you can find your own. The variety of companies will be very diverse so you can ask questions about what's interesting to you. Yeah, it'll be on behalf of the forum. It's really for people who's never done interviews before. I want this to be a learning process as well as a fun.

I'll even come up with a list of potential questions to ask. I'm thinking that the interviews will have to be at least in audio. No email interviews. That's too easy and it doesn't really test the interviewer.

Yeah, you would submit it to me and the community would vote on the best one.

Well, if you can get in touch with a local entrepreneur in person, that's even better. But the interviews I have done are all over Skype with people from different states and countries.
