Stocks - When did you start?

I first started investing in stocks when I was 12. My dad is a stock broker, so he opened an account for me, and I traded under his name.

I started with 500$ CAD.

It grew to almost 600$.

Then it fell to $500.

Now, I invested, with the help of my dad (his recommendation), and my stock is only worth 55$ now. It was one of the hardest economy hit companies, but it is rising back up. The CEO is a jerk, and a liar though, he isn't helping the company.....

So, what about you?

Yea, they are for a lot of people. I've learned my lesson through my losses, but, I'm getting better at it.

I made a 15% return on £10,000 last year, with a £1,200 profit after commissions and initiation fees etc. which was a fantastic income for a teenager.

Currently I have investments in Chevron (CVX) and Dell (DELL) which are both currently at a 3% rise.
