7 billion people

Hey all,

Can't believe that later today (Around 5:30PM UK time) there will be roughly 7 billion people on the planet.
I think it really reminds us of the statistic that says that by the end of this century we may need the equivalent of two planets worth of resources to sustain us if we don't find ways of increasing efficiency with regard to the limited resources we have.

What are your thoughts as the world population hits 7 billion?

I worry how quickly the population is growing. Over 1 million children are born a month in India alone. That's a lot of people! I think it can either be really good for the world or really bad but I can only see bad. Surely we don't have enough to go round?
