Post Android vs IOS

It's really not a debate, I am just wondering what everyone prefers and why exactly do they prefer it?

I have both an Android phone and an iPad 2, and I personally greatly prefer Android. Much more customizable and user friendly (if you're not an idiot).

i must be the only one who pefers iOS !! i think its designed well and its quite simple to use(probably because i grew up with apple products ) and if i wanted to get something that apple wouldnt leave me i can jailbreak it,but that hasn't been a problem so far because it has all the apps want!! ( i'm a bit of an apple fan)

I love iOS, works well, looks great. It really did shape the market, Android just copied off Apple...

Even if Android did copy the idea from Apple (which apple is trying to claim and is trying to sue all the big phone companies) then it would mean Android is better, why copy something and not make it better then the original.

Apple fans need android otherwise Apple wont push out features as fast because there is no competition. Android doesnt need Apple because its all open source and there is always someone sitting in their garage developing it.

I don't entirely agree! Just because they copied it with the intention of making it better doesn't mean that it is better!! I think one of the reasons that android is successful is that it doesnt carry the massive price tag with it that ios does!! but everybody will have different opinions according to their preferences!!

Also I don't agree with apple sueing everyone, but many things that they're sueing for are blatant copies in design of apple products!! Even though I think Apple does need android to some point !!

To some extent I think Apple need Android and Android need Apple. Competition is good for customers as it challenges companies to improve and offer better services all of the time. Without Android, Apple wouldn't be the same company they are today, they are always fighting to be the market leader, giving us better products. And without Apple, Android wouldn't be the same company they are today.

If it wasn't for Apple we would all still be using Nokias. Apple took mobile phones to a new level.

I think Apple are completely right for suing companies to be honest. Business is business and you can't steal products from other companies.

Personally I prefer IOS but I've used Apple products a long time and I love the quality of them. Never had anything break. However I suspect unless the iPhone 5 is something spectacular I may head over to Android at some point.

But why sue the phone companies, why not sue Google, the original developer of android. Why not sue everyone who has made a change to Android, those millions of people out there.

Working in an electronics store we get so many people asking for ipads and i convert 2 out of 3 of them to android tablets, most people like iPads because thats all they have heard of, they dont know what android tablet is, when we explain what each can do most people choose the android tablet.

The only thing i like about iPads and Apple is that pretty much all the apps work and very little goes wrong with them. But in saying that id prefer to have to restore my android tablet once in a while for the chance to put something really cool on it.
