I personally think that it is a wast and will not catch on.

It amazes me how they managed to get the color.com domain.
The app is just like another, I've never really seen any use of those 1000+ photo apps...

I think these apps are built on a basis of "we can do it better". There are definitely a ton of photo applications, so I guess they do it for the competition, though it's no money maker.

i read an article saying that color had 41 million in investments and paid 300,000 for the domain

Yeah, that's crazy how much they spent for a freaking domain for a business that is STILL not making any revenue.
