Was looking at that earlier, it's pretty cool and I want one :p

The only stuff I've ever got from google are crappy letters informing me of the amount of people using Google in Ireland and why I should spend more on Adwords!

I guess you are a Bing user?

With reference to above quote, it doesn't matter if you love or hate Google. Google are doing real work to improve the web and you're probably using their products even if you didn't know it. I love Google, because they provide the best set of online tools and without them business would be pretty awkward (Gmail, Docs, Calendar).

Yeah. I used to have a fascination with making money through Adsense (fool) and they still send me leaflets for 50 or 100 quid advertising through Adwords.

This is another excellent marketing method though. The best marketing will unify some concepts and have some form of emotional capture (growing a tree is like looking after an orphan, or has similar semantics). The message is so simple. If you got that from Microsoft or any of their partners, it'd take an essay of T&Cs before you were even allowed to read the sales pitch.
