Default I Deleted My Facebook

I finally got up the courage to delete my facebook. :O I honestly think it was contributing to my depression, so I decided it was time to let it go.

Strange, I was getting ready to delete mine in the next few days. I never do anything on it.

A lot of people blames facebook for their problem, just think if it wasnt for facebook would i be able to do.... Or is facebook the only way whatever problem it caused could have happened.

To clarify, I'm not blaming facebook for my problems. I'm saying that it wasn't helping. I've been struggling with depression for years due to real-world issues, and the account wasn't really doing me any good.

@Corey,
Good move on your part to remove anything that is not helping.

I was very against getting Facebook. I lost a bet and that's the only reason I have it actually. But when I first got it, I would hide everyone's news feed so it doesn't show up on my wall. I did that because I didn't want that to be the only way for me to keep in touch with people. I use it to connect with people that I would not otherwise but I don't comment on people's walls. Only when someone writes on my wall or messages me do I respond. Works so far.

I think Facebook is kind of flawed. There's nutters saying that Twitter will be next too die, but honestly I don't agree. My twitter network is more valuable to my than Facebook as it's a platform for communicating with new people.

Death to Facebook!

I feel Facebook is more of a social network for individuals where Twitter can be used a lot more effectively for business.

I couldn't live without Facebook, my social life would be a lot harder to organise.

I go to a huge school, and I don't get the chance to see people everyday, so Facebook is pretty much necessary for keeping in contact and organising events and stuff.

I'm going to uni in September and most of the clubs use Facebook to contact people so it'll be pretty necessary then, also for keeping in contact with people who aren't going to the same uni.

I thought about that to. Honestly, I feel like at this stage, the friends I want to connect with can be reached via text message, skype, and/or phone call.

I find that facebook is very much the BS status website, the ones where people write about pointless things they genuinely think people will care about. "Z0mg had cheerios for breakfast".
