Default Laptop advice, around £400 to spend!

Ok so im looking for a laptop around the £400 mark and have a few that ive found in the price range that seem okay, but I dont know what im really looking at. It will be used mainly for WEB SURFING (EMAIL, FACEBOOK, TBF OFCOURSE) ITUNES AND ADOBE® CREATIVE SUITE® 5 DESIGN PREMIUM.

These are the ones im thinking about:
This one because people keep saying get a I3 processor and its the cheapest ive found. Acer Aspire 5741 Core i3 330M 3GB 320GB DVD-SM 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64 (LX.PSV02.033) - dabs.com

And these two because they seem decent around my price range:

ACER Aspire 5736 buy online | Currys

Compaq Presario CQ56-111SA Laptop - Laptops | Ebuyer.com

Any advice or other recommendations would be great, Thanks!

You're not really doing any resource hungry tasks so any laptop should be fine tbh.

Ergh, don't get an Acer!

I would highly recommend the Toshiba Portege M750.

It's just over the £400 budget at £580 (inc. p&p) but it is well worth it!

Rex,
I never went wrong with going with a Dell. I even brought a refurbished one from their outlets online and it worked just fine. I actually liked it a lot. Now, you can get a Vostro, a pretty nice one for like $400. But... reading what you are doing with it, Adobe is a very big memory hog. If you are doing stuff like that, I would get one with a VERY good graphics card. Anything that's generic will not do. I used Adobe Premium before on my very beefy laptop and it still froze.

Looking through the laptops, none of them will work. They all have integrated graphics. It's not powerful enough to handle any of the tasks, probably not even Photoshop. Unless you really want a laptop, getting a desktop is more cost effective and runs programs much better.

You'll need minimum 4GB RAM, 256MB (512 recommended) graphics card, and a high speed processor (2.3 should be fine).

Check out some of the Dells. The Studio line is good for the stuff you're doing.

@James, Not sure if I can go that far tbh.

@Bond, Again I cant really afford the studio. How about the £439 one. = Laptop Deals: Laptop Offers and Laptop Sales in the UK | Dell UK

Its same as the rest but just a better dell, 2.4GH aswell. Really not liking trying to find the right laptop! :P

And looking at the refurb ones:

£419:
Vostro 3500 : Standard Base Good Config
Processor:Intel Core i5-460M Processor (2.53GHz,Turbo Boost 2.8Ghz, Dual Core/4 Threads, 3MB L3 cache) Vostro
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
320GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
4096MB (2x2048) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
Optical Drive : 8X DVD+/-RW Drive without software for N-Series
Display : 15.6in Widescreen High Definition (1366x768) WLED Anti-Glare (WLAN Only

Or £480 (Which I cannot really afford):
Vostro 3500 : Standard Base Good Config
Processor : I5-450M(2.40GHz)
Operating System : English Genuine Windows 7 Professional (64 BIT)
500GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
4096MB (2x2048) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
Optical Drive : 8X DVD+/-RW Drive without software for N-Series
Notebook Screen : 15.6 inch High Definition LED Display (1366 x 768) with anti-glare and multi-touch Vostro

@Rex,
Wait until either Black Friday or Cyber Monday to buy your laptop. I repeat, do not buy anything until those days or afterwards. You'll see prices drop significantly. Check slickdeals.net a few days before and afterwards. I brought my current computer about a year ago after seeing a deal for Dell on Slickdeals.net. After everything was said and done, I paid close to a $1000 for a setup that was $2500 at the time.

I never seen good things with a Dell. Dell computers equals problems. Just ask the people who developed a program called "pcdecrapifier" which was mostly made for Dell computers.

Major issues with Dell computers are that they take all there drivers and compile there own software on top of it. This causes issues. If you must get a Dell then I wouldn't use Microsoft Windows on it.
