Default Upgraded to 801.2n

I received a message from my mum this morning that her modem has broken and she wanted me to go and buy her a new one and set it up for her today. So i went into my work which we currently have a staff sale on and one of the deals is 40% off all dlink products. So i then decided to check the prices to see what would work out best and finally saw a $180 300n router on sale for $129, i then got 40% off that so it cost me less then $80. So ive decided to give mum my old modem (only 2 months old) and upgraded my network to Wireless N.

What im happy about is i thought all my laptops were 802.1g but after checking each they are all 802.1n so now its time for some super fast transfering between all notebooks. Turned out to be a good buy,

Great! I love when stuff you buy actually is compatible with everything, it can be a pain to get it like this these days

Yep =D

But the problem is that N really isnt all that much faster then G. Just tried to transfer a movie from 1 computer to another. Instead of 3MB/s its doing about 5MB/s. Its got a few walls inbetween but it shouldnt be that slow. Annoying me now.
