Default Wanting and Needing - The Difference

I plan on making an article about this and have decided to do some research.
This is where you guys can help, I would appreciate if anyone could answer;

-Do you have a mobile phone, but want a better one?
-Do you have a laptop/desktop, but want a better one?

(By the way, I'm not going to ask if anyone needs these things, that's obvious).

-If you were to start a site (about anything), would you hire a professional designer?
-Have you ever bought something you generally didn't need?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone.
Will hopefully be able to pull a good article together from this.
Once again, Thanks, Jacob Penn (CrookedSight Business)

I have a mobile phone and I love it because it is simple and I can text with it really fast, I don't like thosr fancy **** phones... Oh and I hate touch screen.
I have a Dell laptop and I would likr to have a faster one because it is rather slow and my baterry died today....
I can only play on it with my charger so that is bullshit...
I would hire a designer if I had enough money for it, if you don't have enough money I would just watch some vids and read some tuts to make it simple.
I hope this helped you.

I have two mobile phones, iPhone and Blackberry. I love my iPhone, not sure why I bought the BlackBerry but at least I can stay on top of things in school. Unless you're a talented designer yourself, I'd go with a professional. I'm always available through Skype Jacob though, to talk about that. Hope this helps mate!

1.) Yes, yes. (But I doubt i'll get a new one anytime soon as this old hunk of junk still gets the job done)
2.) See above

1.) Assuming I had the funds available, I would spend it on a design unique to that project only. No templates or cheap designers who recycle designs.

2.) *Looks around* Yes. Yes I have.

This would be a good topic, stupid kids today don't know the difference between a need and a want. If you have a working cell phone/laptop, you don't need a new one. I don't need need a new phone or laptop, but I do want one.

I use to spend foolishly on stuff like video games, but they just make you lazier. I count every dollar I spend.

-Do you have a mobile phone, but want a better one?

Yes, but I am generally happy with my phone, its only really when I see a phone advert I think "I want one", after about 10 minutes though I forget about it.

-Do you have a laptop/desktop, but want a better one?

Yes, but I don't want one that works better, I just want ones that look better :P

Depends, for me its a time/money thing and of course if I'm capable of building it myself or not!

It also depends on what the website will be for, for example if it needs to be very secure/very quick etc.

Overall though I would always prefer to build rather than buy where I can.

-Have you ever bought something you generally didn't need?

I'm a complete shopaholic, so the answer is a very definite yes!
