Define little. How much risk do you want?

I've personally not got any experience with investing, how much money do you have? I'm guessing you know the risk of losing money. All I can advise is keep your eye open for a company that looks promising, so you can buy and sell for good profit.

My friend best thing to do with little $ is invest in yourself. Invest in courses maybe on online marketing or web design or selling on ebay. Then you can take what you have learned and make your investment bigger.

As had been previously suggested, it would make more sense to invest a smaller amount of money in your knowledge, then with larger amounts of money; you've got a plan.

If you decide to go the stock route, consider buying 1 stock in a large company that provides dividends. Lilly, Lowes, Pfizer, etc. Something safe to get your feet wet while you learn more.
You can sign up through Scottrade or Etrade.
