Zombie movie

I have to make a movie for media club with some friends and I want to see what people think of it so far, because everyones view is different. I've attached the poster for it. The front cover of the case will look different. I had to use paint for it. We're trying to get extras so I've put it on facebook.
Heres the script: ( Might be a bit messed up cuz copied from word)

(Shows intro scene, refer to storyboards throughout)
Two weeks earlier
Scene: In a news room
Perry in suite: Urgent news. There are reports of an outbreak of a man made virus from a chemical research plant in France. The virus is called the zeta virus. It may be carried West by the prevailing winds coming from the North. There have been numerous cases of infections and everyone is advised to stay indoors as the side effects are not yet known. The virus was being designed to be used against foreign armies but it was not yet finished when the outbreak began. The only known effect at the current time is that it affects the brain.
(Banging at door)
What’s that? (Stands up) (More banging)(Something falls over, as does camera, as its falling you hear a scuffle)
Perry’s voice on radio in background: The virus did affect the victim’s brain and it made them revert to their main natural instinct, which is, find food. Madrid fell one week ago and now only a few settlements remain. I’m telling anyone this because there may be one last safe place nearby, the Balearic Islands. There is a helicopter leaving for there in one day at…………… . I’m heading there and I advise anyone else who wants to get out of this hell hole to go too. May god help us all.

Mike: We’ve got to catch that.
Alex: It will take a whole day to get there.
Mike: We’ve got to take the risk.
Alex: What do you think (yerlan)?
Mike: Check if they’re out there.
Yerlan: Can’t see any, oh wait there they are. There’s about 3 of them out there.
Alex: Right everyone, get what you need. We need to leave now if we’re gonna make it in time.
Mike: This way!
Mike: We must be getting near.
Alex: I hope so; it’s going to be dark soon.
Yerlan: Shhhh, I hear something (looks around). No, it’s nothing.
Zombie: AArrrggghhh (jumps at Mike, yerlan kick it off with a 720 tornado kick to the face)
(fighting scene in slow mo, will be sped up later)
Mike: There’s too many!
Alex: Run!
(All run)
Yerlan gets separated
(Does intro scene but you can see who it is)
(Perry whacks of zombie)
Yerlan: who the hell are you?
Perry: I’m ………. I’m heading to an evac helicopter.
Yerlan: we heard you on the radio.
Perry: So you’re probably all who’s left.
(look at each other)
Let’s go
(walking montage to music? Not rock but kind of gentle and slow)
Scene 2
All come across a building, not in the best condition if area permits
(use hand signals to get closer, do swat entrance, camera pointing towards gun from infront and behind person)

Alex: Look for anything we can use.
(Everyone looks around)
Mike: I found something
(all gather around a box/chest. Open it and shot from inside it upwards towards happy faces)
Yerlan: Niiiiccceeee.
-New shot
(All walking in a line, camera in front of them walking towards camera, all have guns. Zooms in on everyone individually) Slow mo.?
Mike: so how’d you find out about this rescue chopper then?
Perry: Some other people I met were heading there from up North.
Mike: Must be crazy up there.
Yerlan: Do you hear that?
(Chopper sounds in background far away)
Mike: (zoom in) we made it. (Zombie jumps on him from off screen) AAArrrrggghhhh!!!
(More zombies come) Leave me!
Perry: We gotta leave him! ( Pulls someone else of and pushes him through door or behind something. Then looks back at Michael)
(All running then all go behind a door and lean on it)
(Banging at door and zombie sounds, put barricade up, and then look at door)
Alex: *sigh* let’s have a rest.
(All sit down on a settee away from banging door. Everyone relaxes)
(Zombie rises up from behind settee, jumps on Alex pulling him off the settee)
Alex: AAAAhhhhhh!!!
(yerlans kicks it off and then shot of him from Zombie’s point of view on floor. End of gun is off screen, below . Shoots the gun.)
Yerlan: You okay?
(Alex takes his hand from under his shirt showing lots of blood)
Alex: Mmmmppphhh…I’ll sacrifice myself. I ain’t goin’ anywhere. I’d just slow you down. Go. (walks over to a wall and falls down against it to lean )
(they walk of, Yerlan turns around and nods as does Alex)
(Shots between door and Alex pulling out grenade and looking at it. Eventually door crashes open and zombies run towards Alex, final shot of Alex pulling out pin of grenade. Switch to yerlans and others)
(Running. Explosion in background.Camera to right of yerlan, perry infront of him to right side of shot, yerlan fills up a bit of left side. Yerlan turns to look at camera. Perry stops for a second but doesn’t turn around then carries on walking, yerlan follows.)

They come across a clearing but there is no helicopter. They look around. Yerlan walks off to look around a bit more while perry sits down in clearing with his head in his hands looking depressed. Yerlans walking. Shots from hand held hiding in bushes and stuff near Yerlan following him. Then shots of Yerlan walking, mix between the two. It gets closer till it shows Yerlan get pushed over by something. Yerlan turns around to see Michael there as a zombie. Yerlan runs towards gun, Michael runs towards yerlan. Fight ensues in which Michael grabs onto Yerland shoe but he kicks him off, they scramble but eventually he shoots Michael just after saying Sorry. When getting shot switches from Yerlan shooting to Michael get blown back.

Yerlan stands over Michael then starts to walk off.
Perry appears running over.
Perry: I heard gunshots, you alright?
Yerlan walks past him looking straight ahead holding gun in his hand. Perry looks around then walks next to Yerlan as they walk into distance to sound of Indiana Jones. Plays for a while and they’r e pretty far away when loads of zombies rush past camera to chase them and you see them running away. Fades out.


Btw what do you think of the poster. Does it suit it?

It's not too bad I would say, but I think there is some work that could be done on the script. First off, it sounds similar to Dawn Of The Dead '78. I think a little more backstory to the virus would make the viewer more interested. Because what you have down has already been done before, many times.

I would also want you to consider adding a female to the cast, because women enjoy zombies films too, and there is no character to represent them in the movie.

I wouldn't be able to add a female because the groups have already been chosen and there wasnt even any girls from my year there. And waht do you mean in the way of back story. Do you mean what it was meant for and a scenen where its being made? Because in the storyboards there's a scene liek that where it's being made and then it escapes and while theres the big speech we were going to do scenes of where it happened and things like that but we changed it to a news station.
