Hello, from Bournemouth

Hey, hope everybody is well.

I am not a 'teen' any more...I'm 20. I moved from Leeds to Bournemouth when I was 18 on my own accord.

I had the usual route. Selling sweets in primary school and high school and undercutting the schools shop. I then went on to selling clothing. It went well. I became self employed at 18 and started wholesaling designer clothing across the world, mostly to online traders. I did supply to a couple of small shops and boutiques. I did make money, but it wasn't what I wanted to do. There was nothing exciting, or new about it.

I have held a couple of 'normal' jobs as well. I got my first job at 15 loading vans. At 16 I became a housekeeper at a hospital in Leeds. When I moved to Bournemouth I landed a customer services job at a sign makers, they were very impressed by me and I said I can do more than this you know! So I was also designing the signs! My manager decided to mentor me, and I soon began managing huge projects with some of the top agencies and company's in the UK! I was handling signage projects for brands such as Shakeaway, Beales, LV= Insurance, Tesco's amongst others!

Unfortunately the company went in to administration and I got made redundant. I am now back working part-time as a housekeeper in Poole Hospital.

Well that's the boring stuff, now about why I'm here!

I am in the process of the impossible task of launching a new drink. I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't believe in my product. And the niche is there. Great USP. Zero direct competition either! I have never felt this confident about a product! I know this it! I am in the planning stages, I have the manufacturers sorted and all kinds of marketing strategy's...I am now just in search of investment.

I understand this doesn't say much about my product, but I dare not go in to much detail with out a NDA in place!

Hey Bobby, welcome to TBF! That's pretty cool. Haha, selling sweets in school is becoming a classic startup for entrepreneurs. I know a lot of people who got interested in business simply from the school playground.

Haha, big guns! They're all friendly...well most ;-)

I learned some good business from school! I was a very sneaky one. I used to change the class room clock to 5 minutes early so I could get out and set up my sweet stall and beat the schools sweet shop lol!
