Default Hello future decision makers

Hello everyone on TBF,
A little about myself. I'm Russian, but spent my first 15 years growing up in the US. Been back in Moscow almost 9 years. I'll be 23 in April.
I'm graduating this year from my university, May to be exact. I've been majoring in business administration & management. My diploma paper is a start up business plan for one of many business that I plan on realizing in Thailand.
Thus, the real reason that I was searching for a forum where I would be able to discuss my ideas and get feedback. Not only that, I plan on becoming a daily contributed but, to early to make any promises.
Another reason is because of the resent political unrest, which will change the direction the country. The uncertainty of the country is a main factor why I want complete my business plan and start up as soon as possible. My current estimation is within 3-5 years.

I hope to meet new people, network with the future bosses of the financial world. I'm eager to settle into the community

~LiM

Hey there,
Welcome to TBF! How did you find us by the way? We never had a member from Russia before, at least not that I remember. So glad to have you here. What kind of business are you looking to start?

Thank you, I found the forums through tapatalk app. I was looking for a forum that would suit me, this was the best I found when considering the theme and user activity. My English is better then my Russian since I grew up learning English as my native language.

My initial business plan is for an online clothes store, clothes that are made to your specifications and size. Almost like having your own personal tailor. World wide delivery. All the clothes I plan to sell will be under my brand and original designs only. I'm not a designer so I'll leave that stuff to the actual designers. Off the surface i know it sounds unoriginal but its not. I will be able to go more in depth later.

From there I'm planning to open a hotel, restaurant, and other smaller businesses. In the end, they all will be interconnected to each other and someway benefit from each other.

I wouldn't call hotels and restaurants smaller businesses...owners of those establishments spend insane amounts of hours per week just keeping them barely afloat. Unless you hire people who -know- what they're doing (have been in restaurant/hospitality for years) you'll be in for a PITA if owning such a business isn't your lifelong dream.

I have multiple family members who have run both types. My grandpa even started a bank O.o

Ah no I know they aren't, smaller business are the Internet cafe and beach rentals and so on. As goes for the hotel and restaurants I'm well informed about the work required from friends who run such businesses in Moscow. But for a foreigner to open up in Thailand I'm required to have 2 partners. So I plan to spread the workload between us.
I probably should have mentioned that I will only move on to the next business once the already opened ones can run without my constant supervision over operations.
