Social media has become an extremely popular field in the past few years. Everybody does social media. I know a man who has owned a social media company for years and cant find clients. I use to work in the social media field and you know why I left it? Too much competition.

Social media is a very competitive business that is constantly changing. If i was you (recently just graduated) i would ask already well known companies if they have any vacancies - some like taking on graduates

yes social media has lot of competition but also have lot of opportunities for the people doing well in this. Companies pays huge amount to them just for driving traffic to their website via social media. It takes time to become an expert but also it pays to much. So first try to get knowledge about it and then go into business world.

Well thank you guys for your suggestions but as i said i like to enter into social media. Yes it is full of opportunities and challenging. But i need a perfect start where i can drive my career. Twitter, facebook rules nowadays. But how can i get a client using these rulers?

Ranjith-- Twitter, facebook provides many jobs. If you are interested in designing you can design a facebook fan page for businesses and so on. First list out your skills by yourself. Probably you may find a way. If you are interested in doing online micro jobs, you can provide these types of small services to clients via 3to30.
