Hiya, I'm Tash =] Just joined! I have never owned a business, maybe due to the fact I'm only 13, but that's no excuse, over the past few weeks I have been focusing ojn tring to get an idea for a business. I have designed a few products but they weren't amazing and would cost too much to make to get any profit.
I'd hoped that this place would help XD

As I'm looking at your DA account, I think you're going to be really(!) good if you keep developing at this tempo.

Try creating full drawings, paintings etc that are totally finished. Maybe you can sell them somehow.

You have a gift! Don't worry too much about making money, just keep learning and moving forward in Art and enjoy it. Once it becomes a job, you may not enjoy it as much and it becomes a chore.

Aww thanks, you guys are right, I should keep drawing and stuff, I havn't done much arty stuff for a while (except for some scoubidouing lol).

Yeah it would become a chore a guess, I don't want that. But have you got any suggestions on how to make some money? You see I am saving up for a rat cage XD (Yeah I wanna get a rat)

My sister has 7 rats! Ha. One's quite cool, she lets it roam about the house and he's like a cat...weird.

How much will it cost in total? Will you have to pay for the materials such as bedding? Food? Having a rat, is a little like starting a business I guess. You have that start-up costs which will be the rat, the cage and the housing and also the bits and pieces inside. And then you'll have the running costs such as the bedding and food which you'll pay for weekly/monthly. And also you have to take in to consideration if things go bad, he/she gets ill and needs vet treatment.

Welcome to TBF! What were the products that you have designed?

Awww cute! lol For the rat stuff I need 100pounds but then my mom would pay for the bedding and food when I need it. But also Christmas I need about 60pounds for pressies. So that sets me back a little.

Most of the stuff I've designed is cat related so yeah... A cat shaped cat brush with interchangeable brushes, fine metal comb, wide metal comb, bristle brush and a retractable slicker brush.
A cat tree that is changeable.
A little magnetic tree (20cm height) to put on desks, with little magnetic holders for pens, paper and stuff.
A kitty lounger, weird looking that the cats can go inside and lounge on top.

Sorry I haven't described them very well, if I could of found my sketches I could of posted them but I can't find them... =/
