Hello Everybody! I am a HS sophomore in northern california. I am on the path to entrepreneurship!
First, about myself: I am a sophomore in AP World History and precalculus, and was invited to the local community college honors program. I used to run cross country and swim until this year. I have played the clarinet with the High School advanced band since 8th grade and played with a regional elite band. I used to get 4.0s until this year. I have my eye on a jr girl who i think likes me back. shestall blonde and beautiful and thats what makes me look forward to every day. =) I am very good with computers. I know Python coding, and have taught myself very much about the science. I am a cybersecurity enthusiast and love reading about hacking and network penetration. Lets just say that if you exist, I have ways to track you down and make your life miserable. I am an ubuntu freak and know how to attack, defend, and penetrate many kinds of networks, undetected. (it'd be too much to detail what i can do with conmputers) now about what got me into business: really, ive been studying and reading about businesses since grade 7. ive had loads of ideas, and read so much about those industries, and business in general. now, I have a business partner, one of the best salesmen in the county. Our idea: cybersecurity. we have identified areas in cybersecurity to defend other people's networks. We are projecting that we can obtain the first contract within 6 months. We arleady have the basic source code to customize and sell to customers. More will follow. Last edited by Defend_the_network; 11-01-2011 at 10:11 PM.. Reason: More info on specs |

Hey man,
Welcome to TBF! How did you find us? Norther California as in San Jose/Bay area? How long have you been coding? What does this cybersecurity thing do for networks? What's the vulnerability that your code will be solving? |

Hello Bond! I live in the far east SF bay area. I have been coding since this summer, but the first product plan to commercialize is open source technology meant to encrypt and hide signals, thus theoretically making it close to impossible for penetrators to find and hack the system if they are the outside. This source code is open source (which is the best community out there); I intend to build my own code on it and customize it for customers I also have ideas for scripts on defending network from denial of service attacks.
However, the primary service in the beignning will be white hat hacking, which is like network testing on a contract. That will allow us to get on a platform to sell our software. I have ideas for antimalware, but the main focus of this company is network testing, and later, network defense. PS: I love your dedication to this site and how you respond to all the threads. |

Hey,
Ok, now I understand. You're going to build code on top of an open-source project. That makes sense. I used to be a coder myself. At one point, I knew C, C++, Java, Adobe Flex, PHP, Perl and a few others. What is the name of the company? Is it just yourself or do you have partners? |

the name of the company is unclear as of now to my partner and I. My partner is a businessman who I got to meet over the summer when I worked with him on a sustainability project. He is reputed as one of the best salesmen and successful entrepreneurs of the county. I met with him recently to discuss this, and before we even discussed the idea, he cleared and made clear how real business works and how to get it started. Then after I told him the ideas and specifications of the company, and he contributed his ideas, and we were expressing after that! He is now very excited to be working on this idea, and is all I could've asked for in a partner.
One of the advantages we have in white hat hacking is that I have come up with a method to allow us to test big systems without shutting them down. |

While it would be damaging to disclose how exactly, it is basically creating a parallel system. Exactly how, it wouldnt be smart to disclose. ;-)
what I mean by a big system is how much traffic it handles, like is it required to keep running for the sake of business? i mean like something like a financial website where the owner depends on it for business. |
