While I don't normally consider myself old, I do feel a little old to be posting in a "Teen Business Forum". I like the idea of this forum though, and as a 25 year old Software Engineer, I figure maybe I can lend some advice or participate in some discussions at least.

I have been working full-time as a Software Engineer (at a Fortune 100 company that I would like to remain nameless) for the past year, but that hasn't stopped my entrepreneurial spirit from shining through.

I started my first video game blog/website 10 years ago at the age of 15 (formerly Game-Palace.net, more recently GamerReviews.net) and realized how easy the internet made it to start a company and make a side income. Since then I've done a lot of freelance wordpress/web administration (WebMakerProductions.com), some business (music industry) consulting (whYOweCorporations.com), and most recently started an online magazine with some people I graduated with (CulpritMagazine.com).

Not many of my projects make me a ton of money, but the extra $200-$400 a month is nice to have for doing a hobby I love.

It's nice to see all of you so interested in business. I can't wait to check out the forums more!

Hey, going to guess your name is Dan? Welcome to TBF. Don't consider yourself old, there are quite a few non teen members, which is awesome because they can share life experience. Something that no matter how much business knowledge we teens have, can't have as much of as you.

That's really cool, and like you said, earning from something you love doing is just amazing, even if it's just a few hundred dollars.

@DaleB - I found the forums from the businesszone.co.uk article earlier this week.

@Twistereli - I actually never heard that Schoonmaker meant "Cleaner" in Dutch, I always just assumed it meant "Schoon" = sailboat, "Maker" = maker... Thanks for the heads up

@mngirl3 - I don't quite consider myself an adult haha, but I guess you could call me that
